Join us for a night of true stories with a theme of ‘Stronger Together’ told live by everyday locals. Inspired by ‘The Moth’ storytelling events, this evening is a chance to bring a five minute tale about you - it could be funny, or sad as long as it’s true. What makes a good story? Victories, failures, big ambitions and moments of change - come along to share, listen and connect.

For this Community Storytelling event you don’t need to be a performer. In fact you don’t need a script, all you just need is a story— or a seat to listen and enjoy.

Helpful hints for preparing a story

Make sure the story is true and about YOU
Choose a life event that sparked some personal change or growth
Edit it down for time (5 minutes) while keeping details that relate to the theme
Tell it as if it is happening in the moment, and don’t judge your past self as you tell it. Let us go on the journey with you!
