Future development around Waiwharariki Anzac Square

- In Progress
40 Anzac Street is well-placed to provide a new public space and more direct connections between the town centre and Takapuna Beach.
Located in the centre of Takapuna next to Potters Park, this site will be surrounded by a mix of new shops, offices and homes that will unify the heart of Takapuna.
In March 2018, Auckland Council’s Planning Committee gave the green light to a “change of use,” meaning the site could be used for purposes other than car parking. Alternative short-stay car parking would be available at a new 420-space parking building on the Gasometer site at 14 Huron Street. This new car park, Toka Puia, opened its doors to the public in December 2020.
Takapuna Central development
In March 2022 we announced Willis Bond’s plans to partner with us to create Takapuna Central, a $400m mixed-use development over five sites surrounding the upcoming Waiwharariki Anzac Square.
Once completed, Takapuna Central will have centrally located homes and office space, plus a selection of retail and hospitality, all cohesively designed to enhance the surrounding civic area.
