Panuku Development Auckland is celebrating after clinching two Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) awards.
Anna Wallace, Development Manager Waterfront won the Construction Professional of the Year while the Marina’s team at Panuku was handed the Facilities Management Team of the Year award, which was collected by Tom Warren, General Manager Marinas.
Panuku CE Roger MacDonald says: "This is a fine achievement and a real accolade for two of our people from Panuku to collect awards at this prestigious industry event. RICS sets and upholds the highest standards in land, property and construction, so it's a real honour for our people to be recognised at this level."
Anna was nominated for the award by Precinct Properties, who recently completed the redevelopment of the Mason Bros. building in Wynyard Quarter, which was opened last month by Auckland Mayor Phil Goff. The submission was also endorsed by NZ Strong Construction, Willis Bond & Co and Hawkins Construction, who Anna has worked with on a number of projects around Wnyard Quarter. Support for Tom’s nomination came from Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (Ateed) and Panuku Board member Evan Davies. Speaking about her win,
Anna says: “I’m blown away by being awarded NZ RICS Construction Professional 2017. “It’s a wonderful compliment and a great achievement. Thanks to my nominees and everyone I have worked with over the past two years to make this possible.”
Commenting on his team's win, Tom says: “We are really proud of our accomplishments around and in the marinas and the award is a wonderful way of getting recognition for a lot of hard work undertaken by the marina team.”
