Thriving Town Centres - one year on

As Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland’s urban regeneration agency, our focus is on strengthening and growing communities around thriving town centres.

To explain our approach, we’ve created the Thriving Town Centres guidance, which defines our core principles and critical success factors.

Naomi is our Principal Strategic Advisor with responsibility for the City Centre programme, with significant experience in urban regeneration, housing policy, integrated land use and infrastructure planning, placemaking and city governance.

Naomi holds a Master of Arts (Hons) in Geography and Resource Management. A qualified project manager & business case practitioner she has worked for the people and communities of Tāmaki Makaurau since 2004 after a stint in London for the Westminister City Council.

Duncan is our Head of Design / Te Kahui Hoahoa providing leadership, strategy and vision, for Eke Panuku across our priority locations. He holds key relationships across the organisation with our partners and stakeholders.

Duncan holds a Master of Arts in Urban Design and is a qualified Landscape Architect. He has worked in the public and private sector since 1989 in the United Kingdom, across Europe and in Aotearoa.
