Healing the whenua - Seeding dividing and caring for plants

The vision for our Te Ara Tukutuku project is to regenerate the northern end of Wynyard Point, creating a thriving foreshore – lifting, restoring, and enhancing the mauri (life essence) of the moana (harbour) and the whenua (land). We would love you to join us on this journey through our programme of workshops and activities.

Today's workshop is focused on learning about dividing and planting seedlings and caring for trees. The purpose of the workshop is to nurture the existing trees at this space, as a first step towards building a nursery. The long-term vision is to establish a coastal ngahere (forest) on this site.
